Jailbreaks Surf Break is one of the signature surf breaks of the Maldives, located just off Himmafushi Island in North Malé Atoll. It’s famous for its long, fast and sometimes hollow right-hand reef break. Wave: Long, powerful right-hander with several sections that can link together. On bigger swells, the sections can turn into a fast, barreling wall. Length: Good waves can provide rides of 100+ metres, with multiple turns and occasional barrel sections. Level: Best for intermediate to advanced surfers. The reef is shallow in places and currents can become strong
